How Does it Work?

United Allergy Services is an ancillary medical services company that specializes in providing fully-staffed and operational allergy centers inside qualified provider offices. UAS manages the functional aspects of your allergy center and lets you manage the clinical side. You can provide the full array of seasonal and perennial allergy testing and immunotherapy treatment for your patients in your own office.

FAQ: Becoming a UAS Provider

United Allergy Services brings effective and convenient allergy testing kits and immunotherapy treatment to a range of providers that treat the vast majority of patients with seasonal and perennial allergies. This group includes:

  • Primary care providers
  • Pulmonologists
  • ENT providers
  • Dermatologists
  • Pediatricians
  • Internal medicine providers
  • Healthcare systems

The complete UAS ancillary medical service line features in-office UAS Clinical Allergy Specialist (CAS) staffing and training; quality assurance and compliance; and supply and inventory management. On a day-to-day basis, a UAS CAS will remain under the provider’s direct supervision to test, analyze and perform dilutions for immunotherapy treatments. The provider educates patients on the therapy and results. They then use UAS proprietary protocols to provide a customized allergy treatment program with the best individual patient treatment outcomes.

UAS provides all allergy testing, therapy supplies, and necessary education materials with minimal out-of-pocket or start-up cost to the medical practice. Ask us for the implementation chart on how we help grow your practice for allergy testing and immunotherapy treatment.

Allergies in Primary Care: Expanding Access to Long-Term Allergy Relief

Allergies and asthma remain two of the most prevalent chronic diseases in America, impacting more than 60 million people every year. A large number of these correspond to airborne allergens, such as tree, grass, and weed pollen, dust, molds, and pet dander, which vary by environment and geographical region. They can trigger a range of allergy symptoms, from skin irritation, runny and stuffy nose, and itchy and watery eyes to sinus infections and, in extreme cases, anaphylaxis.

On a national scale, allergies regularly lead to loss of work and school days and an economic cost in the billions of dollars. Yet, with limited access to specialist care, and with many allergy sufferers either misdiagnosing their symptoms or opting for over-the-counter medication, only one in five is eventually seen by a specialist1.

The fact is, allergy care is primary care. Not only can long-term relief from allergies drastically improve a person’s quality of life – allergy care also serves as a preventive measure, with childhood allergies directly related to the onset of conditions such as allergic asthma. Its diagnosis and treatment benefit directly from the attention and continuity of care that only a primary care physician can deliver.

Our mission is to support providers in this effort. Allergen immunotherapy is a long-term treatment for allergies that is proven to be safe and effective. As a leader in the allergen immunotherapy industry, United Allergy Services has the expertise, reach, and infrastructure necessary to support our providers as they deliver to their patients the gold standard in allergy care.
